DUXW Challenge – Day 2

Day 2 of the Daily UX Writing challenge and of course, I’m already behind. Today’s topic certainly challenged me, but fortunately for me, I have an insider source. (Kudos to my wife, a former social media manager of a soccer team, for inspiration.)

The second challenge is as follows:

  • Scenario: A user is a working parent, and a big sports fan, in the midst of their favorite sports season who can no longer attend games.
  • Challenge: Write a promotional screen for an app that lets a user choose teams, sends game reminders, real-time score updates and highlight videos.
  • Headline: 40 characters
  • Body: 175 characters max
  • Button(s): 25 characters max

My thought process

From the scenario description, I’ve assumed the user viewing this ad doesn’t have a lot of spare time. I asked about their lack of time and offered a solution up front.

While the app’s name is absent, the background image of a soccer pitch, as well as the listed features, cues the user into the fact they can use is app for their soccer (or football) obsession.
